Synchronized teams in the U.S. can compete in 14 different levels according to the age and skill level of the team members. For its inaugural season, CDNY Regional Synchro fielded two teams; Cutting EDGE and Leading EDGE.
The CDNY Pre-Juvenile team worked extremely hard this season to an amazing final competition in Hershey, PA. They improved with every competition and in Hershey, at the Eastern Synchronized Skating sectionals, the team qualified for finals and an overall placement of 12th of 29 teams on the East Coast. We are very proud of this young team and their accomplishment in their debut season. Congratulations CDNY Cutting EDGE!
Leading EDGE is our open-juvenile level team. According to USFS level definitions, open-juvenile teams consist of 8-16 skaters with all skaters under age 20. All skaters must have passed the pre-preliminary moves in the field test.
The CDNY Open Juvenile Synchro Team had much success, in this, their debut season. The team placed 4th, earning a pewter medal at the Colonial Classic Competition in Lowell, MA in January and placed 3rd in the Qualifying Rounds at the 2017 Eastern Synchronized Skating Sectionals in Hershey, PA. Their overall placement at sectionals earned them 12th placement of 28 teams on the east coast. Congratulations CDNY Leading EDGE!
